Sculpt & Sip | DIY Chia Pet Pottery Workshop

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll design and hand-build your very own ceramic chia pet planter. Think quirky, cute, weird, or totally you—whatever you dream up, we'll help bring it to life in clay!

Your instructor will guide you through each step as you sculpt your creature from scratch. After the workshop, your planter will be fired and ready for pickup in a few weeks from Sugar Space Cafe—along with a chia seed starter kit and full growing instructions.

Once it’s home, all that’s left to do is plant your seeds, keep it moist, and watch the magic grow.

Sugar Space Cafe will be open all evening slinging drinks: coffee, boba, and alcohol (must order food to purchase alcohol—don’t worry, snacks start at just a couple bucks).

🧱 All clay, tools, and materials

🎨 Step-by-step instruction from a ceramic artist

🔥 Firing of your piece

🌱 Chia seeds + growing supplies and instructions (given at pickup)

📍 Pickup at Sugar Space Cafe when it’s ready

Things to Know:

-This project is more difficult with long nails but still acheivable!

-Ages 12+
